4 Reasons Blow Guns are Better Than Firearms

Blow gun is a ranged weapon featuring a long and narrow tube. It sounds like a gun, but it is not a gun. It does not fire bullets, rather it shoots light projectiles like darts. Overtime, it has been used for hunting. The traditional hunters are pretty skillful when it comes to hunting with this silent weapon. Since it does not make any sound, it is a handy weapon for hunting. In the early days, when villagers often interacted with wild animals, they used this weapon for fighting them. Even today, they can be used for similar purposes. Since they work like firearms, they can be alternative to guns.

Since blow gun does not require any bullets, they appear as a cheaper option. We all know how expensive Airsoft guns and airsoft sniper rifles are. Many people can’t afford to buy them for activities like hunting. This makes low budget hunters unable to hunt, even small game. Blowguns come up as the cheapest option in this regard. This projectile weapon is available at pretty low prices in the market compared to firearms. The budgeted hunters can use them instead of rifles for hunting. So, why spend that high on firearms when you have such a cost effective weapon for hunting. 

2. No Loss of Ammos

Another way blow gun proves to be cheaper than firearms is because of ammos. In the case of firearms, you need to fire bullets, and we all know how expensive gun bullets are. Also, when a bullet is fired from a gun, it can’t be reused because it is then wasted. On the other hand, blowgun does not fire those expensive bullets. However, it does shoots darts that are cheaper and can be reused. All you need to have is just one dart. Once it is fired, there is no loss. You can load it again and fire again with similar effect. Another feature that makes blow gun a perfect and ideal hunting weapon is because it does not produce any sound. This is by far the best advantage these weapons provide over firearms. It is a silent weapon that does not let small game like rabbits to identify if they are in danger. In the case of firearms, there is a great sound for shooting which may destroy your hunting experience. One fire would make all the birds fly away and you are left nothing to hunt. In such situations, a silent weapon can be a great alternative to guns because they don’t make any noise. You can take your time, aim and shoot. A best hunting experience! 

4. Minimum Injury

When you are hunting small game, you always want a minimum damage to the hunted animal. For example, if you are hunting rabbit or dove, you ideally prefer that the injury to him is minimum so that you can easily prepare it for food. When you use outdoor gears or firearms, the injury can often be severe and hence nothing is left for you to eat. In case of a blow gun, a minimum injury is caused to the small game. So, this is a way better weapon compared to firearms.
